The Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), which is responsible for driving tests in Britain, wanted to reinvigorate the service they provide to learner drivers. expertise in business case development, operating model design and sourcing to assist DVSA in reimagining the commercial delivery model for the driving theory test. Together with the DVSA we engaged 100+ potential suppliers prior to the procurement activity starting, uncovering potential for an innovative mixed-economy model that will bring greater control, value and quality.

Oxford Brookes University is on an ambitious journey to transform its student information management landscape. We worked with the University as a strategic delivery partner to support their team through the change, from procurement and design configuration to the deployment of a new commercial ‘off the shelf’ cloud-hosted solution.

In a complex technology programme, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is introducing a new electronic monitoring system with GPS tracking to improve offender management. After a series of set-backs and disputes ground the programme to a halt, the MoJ called PA to help get it back on track.

We helped AstraZeneca re-design their operating model to bring IT closer to the business. Business-facing IT teams now have end-to-end accountability for IT solutions and software applications that support their staff and new, local IT teams to provide a single point of accountability at every company site.

The Vaccine Taskforce was established in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its mission – to drive the development and manufacture of life-saving vaccines and make them available to the public as quickly as possible.

Spotting the signs of cancer early improves the chances of surviving the disease. So, following lockdown, reducing waiting lists for endoscopies back down to pre-COVID levels was a priority. PA worked with North Central London Cancer Alliance to develop and deliver a detailed recovery plan that enabled them to hit this goal, four weeks ahead of target.

Around the world governments are adopting multiple measures to slow the spread of COVID-19, including contact tracing. We led the coordination of the fast-paced development of Smitte|stop, a national digital contact tracing app implemented by the Danish public health authorities in the early months of the pandemic.

Working with two leading London hospital trusts and the wider South East London system partners, we helped establish one of the first central pathology hubs in the UK. We enabled the partners to agree a 15-year contract with a new supplier for pathology services, which is expected to deliver over £100 million in cost savings over the contract term. It will also give doctors in the area access to cutting-edge diagnostic services, enabling them to deliver better, more integrated and effective healthcare.
